Synopsis
It's been over 20 years and suddenly we have a sequel to Angel Sanctuary, the 90s manga by Kaori Yuki in which angels, demons, and humans were all wrapped up in a war between Heaven and Earth and some poor human savior just wanted to fuck his sister.What a defining moment of my childhood. Not the incest part, the other stuff. But here it is, a sequel! For those who read Angel Sanctuary, it seemed like everyone got happy(?) endings except Raphael and Michael, didn't they? Well they're back, and we get to follow this boy named Kuon who also just wants to confess to some hottie, but when you unknowingly live inside a cocoon of death where satans and humans are plotting together, it sadly just isn't that easy, kiddo.About the Project
I have to be up front with anyone who has found themselves on this page. I have never done this before and my Japanese is incredibly rusty. This is purely a passion project based on my feelings for a series that brought me so much joy and inspiration as a teen. I first read Angel Sanctuary scanlated—in fact I bought the scans on CDs off ebay because I had no idea what I was doing at the time. I never thought there would be a day when I might be able to give back to the community, even if it's only a few books. So here's to hoping this series gets picked up by a local publisher soon! Kaori Yuki deserves the love and fame.Until the day comes that someone grabs this, I guess I'll keep dicking around with it. Thanks for stopping by!About the Art
One thing fans of Kaori Yuki are bound to notice right away is the fact that the art style is...certainly different. This could be because of Kaori Yuki's swap to digital, but I suspect this may be due to the fact that she recently suffered from some kind of stroke or aneurysm. While it may disappoint some readers, I hope we can all still enjoy her stories and the return of our favorite characters.
